CRISTY CUELLAR-LEZCANO

Senior Program Manager

Cristy Cuellar-Lezcano is an educator with over 23 years of experience in bilingual education. Her time in the classroom has been in both public-district and public charter schools, and she has experience as a reading specialist from her time at a Harlem nonprofit. Cristy most recently spent 8 years as a founding member of a school in the South Bronx, where she worked closely with its dual language program and was immersed in the different ways to approach reading instruction with emergent bilinguals. Ms. Cuellar-Lezcano was a Reading Rescue instructor for 3 years and also served as the school’s Reading Rescue Program Coordinator.

In her spare time, she loves doing yoga and playing board games with her 12-year old daughter.
